Had I heard this bird in the Valley I would have called it a Pyrrhuloxia, no question; before I was able to get the recorder on it was uttering quite a bit of "quail chatter" (I call it that as it reminds me of California Quail chatter). Unfortunately I was unable to get the bird to come out so I could verify it visually. Thoughts? (Carolina Chickadees adding to the cacophony as well...)
