One of thousands of White-winged Doves gathering the day before Dove Season!
The Question Mark gets its name from the white squiggle on the ventral side of the hindwing (visible in the left-hand photo)
Several Groove-billed Anis call along the back road of the Tropical Zone
Here a Great Kiskadee sings "Hip hip hooray!" while a Curve-billed Thrasher gives its rude double whistle in the background (you can also hear one of the anis).
Park host Huck Hutchins leads Sheri and Ana on a bird walk!
Huck works his magic and finds us a snoozing Pauraque right away!
For me, the best sighting was this Ruddy Daggerwing that flew in! (It was actually hanging upside-down but I flipped the photo...)
Many Yellow Warblers were migrating through along the Camino de Aves Trail.
Just a small portion of the thousands of Whitewings filling the skies!
The boardwalk over Dowitcher Pond (there was water to the right...)
Texas Spotted Whiptails can be quite variable (above and below)
