Central California

11-31 October 2002

Part 7a: Fresno Zoo

This part never made it onto the listserve, as it was a weekend "touristy" jaunt, but it was a good place to take a walk and shoot some exotic birds (among other things)!

Left:  Freeloading wild Fox Squirrel.  Right:  Their Red-ruffed Lemur pair made it onto the local news!

Blacksmith Plover and Red-capped Cardinal

Sarus Crane and lovey-dovey Tigers

L-R:  Double-striped Thickknee; Luzon Bleeding-heart Pigeon; Gray-necked Wood Rail

L-R:  Inca Tern; Roseate Spoonbill; Nene (Hawaiian Goose)

Left and center: Goofy-looking King Vulture and detail of head.  Right:  Blue-crowned Motmot

Continue to Millerton Lake

Go back to High Sierra Rec Area
